Bishop LeBlond hires former All-Stater to rebuild girl’s basketball program

The Midland Empire Conference’s Bishop LeBlond Eagles have hired Class of 2011 alum Jackie Fore (Ziesel) as the new Head Coach of the girl’s basketball program.  Fore, before becoming a four-year letter winner with the women’s basketball program at Benedictine College (Atchison, Kansas), was a three-sport athlete (basketball, track and field, volleyball) at LeBlond, earning All-State status in all three.

Fore will be taking over an Eagles program that hit hard times in 2016-2017, with LeBlond’s 4 win and 19 loss season ending in a 54-12 district quarterfinal loss to eventual champion Trenton on Monday, February 20th. 

Jackie Fore’s father is long-time Benton (St. Joseph) High School Athletic Director Mike Ziesel, who began his coaching career at LeBlond in the mid-1970s, including as an assistant to John Bizal in 1977, when the Eagles when their only boys basketball state title.
