The Milan Wildcats will be plenty of rival schools from across northeast Missouri, including four out of the old Tri-Rivers Conference, while Trenton’s Bulldogs, in a district set-up very similar to last year, will head to Chillicothe High School, while Princeton, in perhaps the biggest news from the release, drops to Class 1, in the 2019-2020 high school basketball district pairings, announced last week.
Milan, a member of Class 2, District 6, will join Knox County, Marceline, Putnam County, Salisbury, Schuyler County, Scotland County, and Westran. Princeton, now the biggest enrollment school in Class 1, District 14, will match up with Gilman City, Mercer, North Harrison, Pattonsburg, East Harrison, Tri-County, and Winston.
Trenton remains in Class 3, District 14, a tournament, that via a tiebreaking coin flip, will be hosted by Chillicothe. Joining the Bulldogs and Hornets in the postseason field will be Brookfield, Carrollton, Higginsville, Lexington, Richmond, and St. Paul Lutheran.
