Alexander Ring and Sebastian Driussi both scored goals on Saturday night, leading Austin FC (13-5-5) to a 2-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City at Children’s Mercy Park.

Kansas City put four shots on goal, all saved by Austin keeper Brad Stuver, as Sporting’s record dipped to 5-14-5, continuing to dim the franchise’s playoff hopes for 2022.

Ring scored in the first minute of first-half stoppage time for second-year side Austin FC.  Both teams will be in action on Saturday, August 6th, with Austin hosting the San Jose Earthquakes and Sporting KC hosting the L.A. Galaxy.
