Le’Veon Moss rushed for a career-high 138 yards and three touchdowns, leading No. 25 Texas A&M to a 41-10 rout of ninth-ranked Missouri on Saturday.
The Aggies (5-1, 3-0 SEC) handed Missouri (4-1, 1-1) its first loss of the season.
Moss’ 75-yard touchdown run on the first play of the third quarter helped Texas A&M build a 24-0 halftime lead.
“I think the 12th Man certainly heard some of the statements made about how easy it was to play in Kyle Field,” Texas A&M coach Mike Elko said, referencing Missouri quarterback Brady Cook’s comments earlier in the week.
Cook threw for 186 yards and a touchdown but was outshined by Conner Weigman, who returned from injury to throw for 276 yards.
Missouri coach Eliah Drinkwitz called his team’s performance “embarrassing.”
“We weren’t competitive, and that’s not Mizzou football,” Drinkwitz said.
The Aggies’ win marked their fifth straight since losing to Notre Dame in the season opener.
Texas A&M should rise in the polls, while Missouri is likely to drop significantly.
Missouri visits UMass next Saturday, while Texas A&M travels to Mississippi State.
