The Trenton Lady Bulldogs broke open a tightly-fought two set match with third set domination, winning the deciding set 25-11 in a victory at Brookfield High School on Monday night.
Laura Carlson had one of her finest nights as a Lady Bulldog, picking up 11 kills to go with three digs, an assist and an ace for Trenton. THS won the first set 27-25, but fell in set #2 to BHS 26-24.
Melea Farmer played solid back-line volleyball for Trenton, with six assists, five digs and two aces. Saedee Jackson added seven kills, six digs, and four aces, while Shawna Coplen had seven assists, Brittany Wilson four aces, and Gilcy Ando five digs.
Trenton, coming off its fourth win of the season, will look to make it two in a row tonight (Tuesday night), hosting East Buchanan at the THS gymnasium. The JV match is at 5 o’clock, followed by the varsity match at 6.
