The Trenton High School boys tennis team improved to 8-0 on the season with a 9-0 win over the St. Joseph Lafayette Fighting Irish on Tuesday afternoon at the THS Courts.
Of the nine victories for the Bulldogs, seven (5 singles and 2 doubles) came by 8-love results, with #1 singles Nick Shields, #2 Gabe Swann, #3 Creed Houghton, #4 Jeremy Elliott, #6 Weston Otto, and the #1 doubles (Shields/Houghton) and #2 doubles entries also pulling off shutouts. Trenton’s #2 doubles team consists of Swann and Elliott.
At #5 singles, Isaac Harris of Trenton defeated Fabian Hudson of Lafayette 8-1, while in the #3 doubles match, Weston Otto and Jonin Villacampa of Trenton took an 8-3 win over Lowe and Mendoza of Lafayette.
