The win over the Savages goes with a sweep of Carrollton 48 hours earlier to account for Trenton’s unbeaten start. Against Savannah, Trenton won 5 of 7 singles matches, with Lauren Dolan defeating Jocelyn Kallauner 8-4, Samantha Mihalovich over Lauren Stafford 8-1, Emma Gilham over Libby Rollett 8-1, and Maddie Searcy an 8-love shutout of Lauren Bailey. For SHS, Jacey Cornelius beat the Lady Bulldogs Claire Utley at #1 singles 9-7, while Olivia Claycomb downed Latorrie Johnson at #6 singles, 8-3.
In doubles play, Trenton dominated with 3 wins to Savannah’s zero. Utley and Dolan defeated Cornelius and Stafford 8-4, Mihalovich and Searcy combined for a 8-2 win over Kallauner and Bailey, while Gilham and Johnson took down Rollett and Halle Cornelius 8-2.
Elle Neal, playing singles for the Trenton JV, won both of her matches played on Thursday, beating Olivia Claycomb 6-love and Halle Cornelius 6-1.
