The Trenton Bulldogs, participating in the Richmond Invitational Tournament on Friday, scuffled their way to a team score of 418 on the 18-hole Shirkey Course, good for 18th place in the 20 school event.
Senior Lathan Croy shot 80 for THS, good for a five-way tie for 15th place, just out of medalist contention. The top two scores from the tournament came from Bishop LeBlond, with Hank Lierz shooting 70 for the individual championship, while teammate Jeff Johnston shot 74.
In addition to Croy’s 80, other Trenton scores were 111 from Mason Owen, 112 for Lucas Clark, 115 for Gavin Roeder, and 116 from Max McNabb.
The Rockhurst Hawklets won the team title at Richmond, with a score of 311. Pembroke Hill was second at 319, tied with LeBlond at that mark. Other schools in the tournament, by order of finish, were Liberty, Warrensburg, St. Joseph Central, Staley, Kearney, Cameron (10th place / 342), Maryville, Excelsior Springs, Marshall, Richmond, Savannah, Lawson, Harrisonville, Oak Grove, Barstow, and Orrick.
