The Trenton Lady Bulldogs and South Harrison Lady Bulldogs will be among 15 teams in the two-day Cameron Softball Tournament, running Friday and Saturday. The two Grand River Conference rivals were placed into Pool C, featuring seven schools that include Savannah, Cameron, Lawson, Platte Valley, and DeKalb.
Eight other schools will be involved in pool play on Friday, with Marceline, Lathrop, Excelsior Springs, and St. Joseph Benton in “Pool A”, and Mid-Buchanan, St. Joseph Central, Penney (Hamilton), and Maysville in “Pool B”.
Four separate fields will be utilized for the event, with Cameron’s “City Field”, joining Fields 1, 2, and 3. With all teams playing three games in pool play competition, their winning percentage will place them into either a “Gold Bracket”, “Silver Bracket”, “Bronze Bracket”, or “Consolation Bracket” on Saturday afternoon.
