Prior to the Trenton Bulldog home football game broadcast tonight, you can hear interviews with Lady Bulldog volleyball coach Amanda King, golf coach Travis Mullenix, and softball coach John Cowling. The interview with Coach King will air before “Football Frenzy” at 5:30 PM on Hot Country Z 101.7, with the interviews with Coach Mullenix and Coach Cowling airing between 6:05 and 6:25.
A portion of the interview with Lady Bulldog tennis coach Tammy Ockenfels, along with junior Kendall Crowley and senior Latorrie Johnson, from last night’s edition of “Dawg Bites”, will re-air at halftime of the Trenton / Milan game.
Here are the latest interviews with the fall sports coaches of the THS Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Bulldog volleyball team went 2-1 this week, with wins at Brookfield and at home against South Harrison, sandwiched by a Tuesday three-set loss to East Buchanan. On Saturday, Trenton will play four matches at the Carrollton Tournament, with a trip to Chillicothe on Monday (broadcast on KTTN FM 92.3) and Lathrop on Tuesday.
“The Amanda King Show” (Trenton Lady Bulldog volleyball):
The Trenton girls golf team celebrated the career of senior Werthen Gass with a Thursday night triangular at Riverside Country Club, hosting the Maysville Lady Wolverines and Richmond Lady Spartans. On Monday, Trenton finished third in the Grand River Conference Golf Tournament in Cameron.
“The Travis Mullenix Show” (Trenton Lady Bulldog golf):
The Trenton Lady Bulldog softball team, on Thursday night, won the GRC title for the third year in a row, routing Stanberry 12-0 in five innings. That effort followed a dominating performance last Saturday, when Trenton won four lopsided games (South Harrison, Brookfield, Platte Valley, Marceline) to win the Nan Carter Tournament championship. This Saturday, THS will play in the Centralia Tournament, playing Hallsville in the quarterfinal round at 10:45. The first two games for THS on Saturday will be aired on KTTN FM 92.3, with a potential final round game to switch over to Hot Country Z 101.7.
“The John Cowling Show” (Trenton Lady Bulldog softball):
The Trenton Lady Bulldog tennis team routed Lexington on Tuesday, winning their Senior Night dual 9-0. On Monday, the Lady Bulldogs, owners of a #3 seed in District 16, will host the Lafayette Fighting Irish in a district quarterfinal at 4 o’clock. A win would send Trenton to Northwest Missouri State University on Tuesday at 4 o’clock, for a meeting with the #2 seed from Maryville High School.
