The Trenton Kids Wrestling Club participated in districts this past weekend at Maysville, with seven wrestlers from the club advancing to the regional tournament to be held next weekend at Staley High School in Kansas City.
The top finish for Trenton came from Owen Lowe, with a runner-up spot in the 8 and under, 90 pound weight class. Braylee Barron had a solid third place showing in the 8 and under 115 pound class.
Four wrestlers finished in fourth place, with those identified as Wesley Stiles (8 and under, 100 pounds), Ayden Ortega (10 and under, 65 pounds), Mason Rongey (14 and under, 120 pounds), and Jacob Black (14 and under, 175 pounds).
In the 8 and under, 70 pound class, Trenton’s Kynsen Bain advanced to sectionals, finishing fifth.
