The Trenton junior varsity basketball teams had a successful Monday night road trip to Milan High School, taking a pair of single-digit victories, with the Lady Bulldogs, courtesy of a 35-31 come-from-behind victory, improving to 7-0 on the season.
The girls were down 31-26, before scoring the final nine points of the game for the win. Chandler Lynch led Trenton with 13 points with Teya Cooksey adding 12.
The Trenton boys edged their season record to 4-3 with a 43-39 road win. Camdyn Leeper of Trenton led all scorers with 16 points, with Brycin Loyd scoring nine, and Gavin Roeder seven points.
Coach Kameron Cool was pleased with the win, telling KTTNSports.com, “A lot of toughness from the guys. They’ve put a lot of work in and really earned this one tonight!”
The Trenton JV’s road trip to Chillicothe to play the Hornets on Tuesday night was postponed by weather.
