The Trenton Lady Bulldogs, the #3 seed in the Class 2, District 6 softball tournament, will host the seven-school event starting on Thursday night at the Ebbe Sports Complex, adjacent to Trenton High School.
The tournament will start with three games played on Thursday night, October 12th. The #4 seed Putnam County Lady Midgets play the Brookfield Lady ‘Dogs at 5 o’clock, with the #2 seed Marceline Lady Tigers playing Milan at the same time. At 7 o’clock, the Trenton Lady Bulldogs host the Penney Lady Hornets, with coverage of the game on KGOZ FM 101.7, following Dawg Bites, airing live from Hy-Vee from 5:45 to 6:45.
The top seed in the tournament hails from Bethany, as the GRC champion South Harrison Lady Bulldogs will have Thursday off.
In Saturday’s semifinal round, South Harrison will take on the Putnam County/Brookfield survivor at 10 o’clock in the morning, followed by the Marceline/Milan winner playing the Trenton/Penney winner at 12 noon.
The Class 2, District 6 championship game will be Monday, October 16th at 5:30.
