Trenton golfed well on its home course on Monday afternoon, finally seeing the winds of the first week of April subside, and using the improved conditions at Riverside Country Club to shoot a score of 161, easily defeating the tallies of visitors Putnam County (225) and Princeton (226).
All five of Trenton’s individual scores were better than any score put up by the Midgets or Tigers, as Nate Swann went sub-40, at 37, for the Bulldogs to win the medalist honors for individual low score. Lathan Croy shot 40, Corbyn Guile 41, Cree Mullenix 43, and Luke Lewis 46 for THS.
Trenton senior Tucker Franklin had his best day of the spring season, shooting a 38 to earn the runner-up score of the day. Conner Lovell shot 54 and Cade Darting 56 for the Trenton JV. Jones shot 62 and Hickman 64 for the Princeton JV.
Back on the varsity level, for Putnam County, Eddy shot 50, Robinson 55, while Miller and Hurley both put up 60’s. Princeton’s totals were 53 by Berwanger, 56 for McIntosh, 58 from Webber, 59 for Boxley, and a 60 for Schwenneker.
Trenton’s boys golf team will travel to Kansas City to play in the Park Hill Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, starting at 3 o’clock.
