Kendall Brown, the 14th-ranked player in the Class of 2021 (Rivals.com), continues to show interest in the Kansas Jayhawks basketball program. The high school junior just completed his season at Sunrise Christian Academy, having transferred last fall from East Ridge High School in Woodbury, Minnesota, southeast of the Twin Cities.
Kansas may have a bit of an advantage in Brown’s recruitment, having already earned the commitment of Brown’s Sunrise teammate, 6’10” forward Zach Clemence, who committed to KU last week.
Brown’s list of eight ‘finalists’ includes his home state Minnesota Golden Gophers, and, along with Kansas, top programs in Arizona, Baylor, and Virginia. Ohio State, Arkansas, Illinois, Maryland, and Marquette also made the final cut.
At Sunrise, Brown averaged 17 points per game in his junior campaign.
