The Trenton Middle School Bulldogs jumped to an early lead in three scoring runs in the first quarter, while the defense tossed a shutout at the Princeton Tigers, as Trenton dominated a Monday night test from the Grand River Conference, 34-0.
TMS opened the scoring with a 67 yard touchdown run by Michael Baker, with the two-point conversion making the score 8-0. By the end of the quarter, Trenton had picked up a 25 yard scoring run by Baker, and a 20 yard touchdown run by Matthew Bowden, with a pair of failed PAT’s leaving the margin at 20-0.
In the 2nd quarter, Trenton extended the lead on a 56 yard scamper by Bowden, with a two-point pass from Cooper Houser to Elijah Miller moving the score to 28-0. The final score of the night, an 18-yard run by Baker in the fourth quarter, left the final margin at 34-0.
