The Tina-Avalon girls improved their record to 6-1 overall, and 3-0 in the CLAA on Monday night, cruising to a 21 point halftime lead and holding off the Northwestern Lady Eagles in the second half, for a 66-51 victory. The Lady Dragons were paced by three players in double figures for the second game in a row. Junior Hannah Colliver led the way with 29 points followed by Khloey Forst and Haley Rucker with 14 and 11 respectively. Northwestern was led by a pair of sharp-shooters that made 7 three pointers between them. Leading scorers for the Lady Eagles were Kelsie Speichinger with 20 and Gabbi Johnson with 17. Tina-Avalon has a quick turn around on Tuesday when the Dragons teams play in the Holiday Hoops in Trenton at NCMC against Higbee, with the girls game at 4 o’clock, followed by the boys contest at 5:30.
