Two members of the University of Missouri’s men’s basketball program from 2020-2021 have signed contracts with teams in the NBA.
Both Jeremiah Tilmon and Dru Smith went unchosen in last Thursday’s two-round deep NBA Draft in Brooklyn. However, Tilmon, a product of East St. Louis, Illinois, inked with the Orlando Magic on Friday, with Dru Smith, a guard who played two seasons with Mizzou after transferring from Evansville, signing with the Magic’s in-state rival, the Miami Heat.
Tilmon had a breakout senior season at MU, averaging 12.3 points and 7 rebounds per game for Cuonzo Martin, finishing his four-year career with 1,005 points for the Tigers. Smith averaged a team-high 14.1 points per game last season in Columbia, adding 4 assists and 3 1/2 rebounds per game.
