The Princeton Tigers beat the Trenton Bulldogs in high school baseball action on Thursday night, grabbing a 19-2, five inning win at Burleigh Grimes Field.
The Tigers jumped on top with three runs in the top of the 1st inning, putting the game out of reach with eight runs in the 3rd inning and six more in the top of the 5th. Zeb Schwartzkopf had three RBI’s with a 2-for-2 game (with two walks) for Princeton, while Justin Rhoades had a pair of doubles in a 3-for-4 contest. Owen Schreffler had three runs scored for the first-year Tigers.
Trenton scored single runs in the first and fourth innings, held to five hits in the contest.
