The Trenton Lady Bulldogs, in a varsity match broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7 on Tuesday night, made short work of the first-year South Harrison Lady Bulldogs, taking a decisive 25-4, 25-7 sweep.
In the first set, Trenton’s Teresa Yoder and Melea Farmer had separate runs of 10 straight points off serve, with THS rolling to the win, taking 25 of the 29 available points. With similar results, Trenton took the second set in dominant fashion.
Yoder finished the night with five aces and a pair of kills, while Farmer had four aces, one assist, and one dig. Karli Provorse added 3 aces and 3 kills, with Shawna Coplen assisting on five net points, with Saedee Jackson contributing three kills and a pair of aces.
Trenton, now 3-4 on the season, travels to Kirksville on Thursday night, looking for the program’s first road win of 2017. South Harrison, still in search of their first win of the season, will take an 0-5 mark into a home date with West Platte on Tuesday, September 12th. Trenton will pay a visit to South Harrison for a rematch on Thursday, September 21st.
Trenton won the “B” team match with South Harrison 25-12, 25-14, and claimed the “C” team match 25-17, 25-14.
