The University of Missouri men’s basketball program has earned its first verbal commitment in the Class of 2023, with senior point guard Anthony Robinson of Florida State University School (Tallahassee, FL) announcing a decision for the Tigers via Twitter. Robinson is a three-star recruit.
Robinson, as a junior, was part of a Florida Class 3A state championship team, and chose Mizzou over offers from the hometown option at FSU, in addition to Auburn, Texas Tech, and Virginia Tech.
Coach Dennis Gates has swiftly turned over the roster at Missouri heading into his first season, however three of the incoming transfers, guards D’Moi Hodge, DeAndre Gholston, and Tre Gomillion, will have only one season of eligibility at MU, leaving a looming need for bodies and talent at the position by the 2023 summer.
