Sporting Kansas City, despite the loss of Remi Walter to a red card in the 21st minute, was able to escape Allianz Field in St. Paul with a 0-0 draw against Minnesota United on Saturday afternoon.
Goalkeeper Tim Melia was spectacular for Kansas City, with seven saves, as Sporting pushed its record to 11-4-6. Melia has three shutouts in his last four efforts.
For Minnesota, Tyler Miller had five saves, as the Loons record stands at 7-6-7. Minnesota has been shutout on its home turf for the first time since July 2017.
