The Grand River Conference and District 16 champion South Harrison Lady Bulldogs have two players named all-district with coach Kale Watson named all-district coach of the year.
Hannah Carter was named all-district player of the year, joined on the team by sophomore Abigail Malloy. Trenton had two players named all-district in sophomore Mirena King and junior Madi Moore.
The remainder of the squad consists of Milan freshman Marian Dabney, Brookfield senior Ella Daugherty, Carrollton seniors Bella Ochoa and Savannah Reinke, and Marceline sophomore Natalee Pennington and senior Addison Huber.
Marceline and Carrollton opened district play with opening-round victories, with the Lady Tigers winning at Trenton, with the Lady Trojans downing #6 seed Milan. With the tournament moving to North Central Missouri College for the semifinals, Carrollton beat Brookfield while South Harrison downed Marceline. South Harrison beat Carrollton for the district title by a score of 29-28.
After winning in the opening round of Class 3 playoff competition against East Buchanan, South Harrison’s season ended in Saturday’s quarterfinals with a setback to El Dorado Springs.
