Twelve schools, including area squads Trenton, Chillicothe, South Harrison, Gallatin, and Cameron, descended on the Mozingo Golf Course in Maryville on Monday for the Maryville Best Ball Tournament. Maryville’s nearby MEC rivals, the Savannah Lady Savages, won the team event, putting up a score of 180 (based on the low two best-ball scores), with Gallatin runner-up at 182, followed by Tarkio (187), Maryville (195), and Trenton (196).
South Harrison was 10th with a score of 236, Cameron 12th at 260, and Chillicothe 8th with a score of 227.
The individual medalist was Tarkio High School’s Bree Barnett with a score of 89. Savannah took 2nd and 3rd place, with Delaney McKnight shooting 91 and Mallory Lefler 94.
South Harrison’s Kylie Gannon had a strong day, shooting a 96 for 4th place, while Gallatin had three players in the top 10, as Kaitlyn Bird shot 97 (5th place), Taylor Rardon 98 (6th place), and Megan Cox 101 (10th place).
Trenton’s best score, 106, was turned in by Kaitlyn Mounce, good for 13th place. Werthen Gass shot 108 (15th place), Lane Raymo 113 (17th place), Hannah Kennebeck 117 (20th place), Jordain Oshel 118 (23rd place), Maci Henson 124 (32nd place), and Oakley Madden 138 (47th place) for the Lady Bulldogs.
