Chris Rodriguez Jr. rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns, while adding another score through the air, as the Kentucky Wildcats opened Southeastern Conference play with a 35-28 victory over the Missouri Tigers on Saturday night in Lexington.
Kentucky never trailed in improving to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in SEC action, while dropping Mizzou to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
Rodriguez’s 206 yards established a new career-high, besting his 149 rushing years against Vanderbilt in November 2020. Kentucky continued its offensive renaissance behind transfer quarterback Will Levis, putting 519 yards of total offense up on Mizzou’s defense.
Missouri returns to non-conference action the next two weeks, hosting Southeast Missouri State at 11 AM on Saturday, September 18th, and playing at Boston College at 11 AM on Saturday, September 25th.
