The University of Alabama football program has picked up its 11th verbal commitment for 2021, with Philadelphia, Mississippi native Kadarius Calloway, on Wednesday, announcing a switch from his commitment with Mississippi State to Nick Saban’s program in Tuscaloosa.
Calloway, a three-star prospect, is rated by 247Sports as the #24 overall athlete in the country, and #6 overall in the state of Mississippi. He had been committed to Mississippi State for the past nine months, with a coaching change from Joe Moorhead to Mike Leach occurring during that time-frame in Starkville. Calloway did not indicate whether that played a factor in the switch.
