The second year of the “Field of Dreams” MLB Classic in Dyersville, Iowa will see the Chicago Cubs take on the Cincinnati Reds in a matchup of NL Central Division rivals on August 11, 2022.
The game will work off of the successful first run of the event, held earlier this month, when the White Sox beat the Yankees 9-8 on a bottom of the 9th, walk-off, two run homer by Tim Anderson. Approximately 8,000 fans attended the game, played at a temporary field constructed next to the original site of the 1989 movie “Field of Dreams”.
