The Putnam County Midgets made the lengthy trip to Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph on Monday night, playing the Christian High School Lions in the 2022 Grand River Conference championship game. The Midgets were impressive in grabbing a 5-0 triumph in a matchup between the Eastern and Western Division champions. Gage Pearson pitched the shutout for Putnam County, earning the win from “the bump”.
