The Princeton girls basketball team is showing quick and solid improvement going into late January, with a victory over South Harrison on Friday, January 13th in the third place game of the South Harrison Tournament followed by a Tuesday night win over Putnam County and a Friday night win at Polo improving the Lady Tigers to 3-2 in the Grand River Conference.
The sailing is a bit more choppy for the Princeton boys, who won the consolation hardware at South Harrison on the 13th, only to follow that up by giving up 40 points to Putnam County senior Calvin Heidenwith in a loss to Putnam County, then a school-record 46 points to Polo’s James Fleener on Friday night in a 64-49 loss to the Panthers.
Princeton’s teams will have matching #2 seeds in the Gilman City Tournament this week.
