Marceline won the Nan Carter high school softball tournament on Saturday at the Ebbe Sports Complex in Trenton, hosted by the North Central Missouri College softball program.
Marceline beat Brookfield 12-4 in the championship game. Earlier in the day, Marceline edged Platte Valley 6-5, beat Putnam County 7-1, and blanked Gallatin 13-0.
South Harrison captured third place by beating Gallatin 10-2. Platte Valley beat Trenton 5-2 in the fifth place contest. Earlier in the day, Trenton edged Milan 3-2, lost to South Harrison 10-6, and lost to Brookfield 5-1.
In the seventh place game, Putnam County beat Milan 18-3.
