The Plattsburg Lady Tigers traveled to Trenton High School on Tuesday night, splitting a pair of straight set decisions in volleyball action from the THS gymnasium. In the varsity match, Plattsburg won 25-20, 25-17, dropping Trenton’s early season mark to 0-4. However, the Trenton junior varsity played their strongest match of the season to date, taking a straight set win over PHS, 25-15, 25-13.
Trenton will now prepare for their first two road tests of the season, traveling to Carrollton on Thursday night and Penney High of Hamilton on Monday night, followed by a trek to South Harrison on Tuesday (September 11th) and a trip to Kirksville on Thursday, September 13th.
Trenton Middle School volleyball traveled to Lathrop on Tuesday night, returning home with a pair of thrilling, come-from-behind, three set wins. In the A team match, the final tally was 23-25, 25-22, 15-12 in favor of TMS, while Trenton won the B team match in similar fashion, 16-25, 25-21, 15-13.
Makenzee Epperson and Juliet Schmadeke lead the TMS girls with two aces each.
