(Story written by Jennifer Thies) TRENTON, Mo. – The Ketcham Community Center in Trenton will have a new scoreboard next year.

The North Central Missouri College Athletic Booster Club is helping with the purchase of the new digital basketball scoreboard and two new scoreboard tables. They are expected to be ready for use by the 2025-2026 athletic season.

Booster Club Secretary Diane Lowrey says the 18′ by 11′ scoreboard will be installed on the western end of the gymnasium, replacing the larger current scoreboard in the facility.  That replaced scoreboard will move over the eastern wall to permanently replaced an outdated model.

In addition to scoreboard improvements, there are plans for new scoreboard tables, each measuring ten feet.

Lowrey commented about the new scoreboard’s video capability, similar to the old model, but with the increased size:

The scoreboard tables will allow NCMC to promote sponsors of the Pirate athletic programs and show specialized messages:

North Central athletic director Nate Gamet has indicated the update will help enhance the game night experience and give the Pirates top-of-the-line level technologies for its indoor-based programs.
