The visiting Johnson County Community College Cavaliers split the season series with North Central Missouri College on Wednesday night, rallying for a 44-33 halftime deficit for a 77-75 win against the Pirates, dropping North Central’s record to 7-5.
The Cavaliers second-half efforts were led by starting shooting guard Berlin Roberson, who hit seven three-point shots in a 25 point game, adding six assists in a superlative game. General Williams contributed 16 points and 5 rebounds for JCCC, while Xavier Womack had 13 points on 5 of 9 shooting from the field.
The Pirates had four players in double figures, as sophomore Jalen Gant led the way with 18 points and 7 rebounds, with Jordan Reece continuing his steady first semester improvement, with a 14 point, 6 rebound night. Lawson native Cody Glenn came off the bench with 11 points, with Ryan Ward scoring 10.
North Central’s men will play their final game of the calendar year on Friday night, hosting the Central Methodist junior varsity at 7 o’clock at the Ketcham Community Center in Trenton.
