North Central Missouri College sophomore Logan Eickhoff has announced a verbal commitment to continue his baseball career at Eastern Illinois University, joining EIU by the 2020-2021 school year.
As a freshman last spring for the Pirates, Eickhoff led the team with 62 hits, 45 runs, and 11 steals, hitting .354 in a superb freshman campaign. This past summer, Eickhoff joined the MINK League’s Chillicothe Mudcats, and was named Co-Player of the Year in the eight-team summer league, hitting .408 with 62 hits, 36 runs, 29 RBI’s, and 11 steals.
Eickhoff chose Eastern Illinois, based out of Charleston, Illinois, over offers from numerous Division 1 schools. In the classroom, Logan was a 2nd Team Academic All-American, chosed by the NJCAA.
