The North Central Missouri College men won two games over the weekend, with the Lady Pirates snapping a two-game losing streak with a Friday night triumph, all at the Ketcham Community Center in Trenton.
On Sunday afternoon, the Pirate men hammered the Central Methodist junior varsity, 107-85. On Friday night, the final margin was more lopsided, with the NCMC squad demolishing the Ottawa University JV, 118-78. Soloman Thomas had 21 points, Jake Salisbury 19, Cameron Lockett 17, Marty Jackson 12, and Quinan Rieves 10 points for North Central.
The Pirate men are now 5-3 on the season.
The Lady Pirates improved to 3-4, with a 35-8 beatdown of the Central Methodist JV in the third quarter providing decisive in a 74-48 win on Friday night in Trenton. Da’Briauana Bables had a game-high 16 points for NCMC, with sophomores Maddie Book and Hailey Burrows each adding 15. Dymeria Guillory and Crystal Eureste each came off the bench to tally nine points.
On Wednesday, the North Central teams travel to Creston, Iowa, playing the Southwestern Spartans in the Pirates final games before Thanksgiving Weekend. Both the women’s game at 3:30 and the men’s game at 5:30 will be broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7, with pregame at 3:20.
