The North Central Missouri College men struggled from the field on Wednesday night in falling to the Southwestern Community College Spartans 74-67, in a junior college game broadcast on KGOZ FM 101.7.
A.J. Doctor led the Spartans with 16 points, with Bogdan Cret adding 15, Donnary Fontenot 13, and Kyren Angelo 10 points.
The loss for NCMC, ranked #19 in the country (NJCAA D-2), dropped the Pirates to 7-4, with Tyler King scoring a game-high 22 points, Isaiah Reams 18, and Giovanni Mack 12.
The Pirates will look to rebound on the road on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Overland Park, Kansas to play the #2 ranked Johnson County Community College Cavaliers.
