NFL announces international games; Broncos-Rams for Christmas Day

With the approach of the complete 2022 regular season schedule release coming on Thursday, the National Football League is continuing to announce specific matchups for the upcoming season.

On draft weekend, the league announced that the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Los Angeles Chargers on the debut of Amazon Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football”, on Week 2 of the season. 

On the first week of May, the NFL announced that the Seattle Seahawks will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 13th at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, the first-ever regular season game on German soil.  Kickoff is slated for 8:30 AM CT.

Four other matchups will be played at non-U.S. locations this fall, with the Arizona Cardinals “hosting” the San Francisco 49ers at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on November 21st at 7:15 PM CT, the first regular season game in Mexico since 2019.

London will host three games in the 2022 season, with the New Orleans Saints battling the Minnesota Vikings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 2nd, followed by the Green Bay Packers taking on the New York Giants at the same facility on October 9th.  On October 30th at Wembley Stadium, the Jacksonville Jaguars will face the Denver Broncos.  The London games will all kickoff at 8:30 AM CT.

Monday Night Football will head to Buffalo, New York for the second straight season, as the Bills will host the Tennessee Titans on September 19th on ESPN.  The 6:15 PM CT kick will be part of a Monday night doubleheader, with the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Minnesota Vikings at 7:30 PM CT on ABC.

The Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams will welcome the Denver Broncos to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Christmas Day, airing on CBS and Nickelodeon at 3:30 PM CT.  It will be the 2nd game of a Christmas tripleheader.
