Netflix has released a preview of its new docuseries called “Quarterback,” which will provide exclusive access to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Marcus Mariota during the 2022 NFL season and Super Bowl LVII. The series will give fans an inside look into the lives of these quarterbacks both on and off the field.
The preview showcases the challenges of being an NFL quarterback, highlighting the physical demands and the constant competition for their positions. It features clips of Mahomes, Cousins, and Mariota, as well as other quarterbacks, facing intense pressure and hits from opposing defenders. The series will also delve into the personal lives of the quarterbacks, showing Mahomes spending time with his family, watching film, and managing the responsibilities of being a football player, husband, and father.
“Quarterback” is a joint production between Mahomes’ 2PM Productions, Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, NFL Films, and Netflix. Manning, who provides commentary in the preview, describes the series as showcasing the “every hit, every hurt, every high” of the quarterback position, which he believes is the toughest position in sports.
Mahomes expressed his excitement about the series and mentioned that fans will get to see more of his personality and behind-the-scenes moments. He also hopes that the series will continue and feature other quarterbacks in the future to provide different perspectives on the position.
The docuseries “Quarterback” will be available for streaming on Netflix starting Wednesday.
