The University of Missouri football program has lost another verbal commitment from the Class of 2024, as three-star quarterback Daniel Kaelin (Bellevue, Nebraska / Bellevue West H.S.) announced on Friday, via Twitter, a decommit from Mizzou.
Kaelin joins Hazelwood Central defensive end Tionne Gray as Mizzou decommits this spring, as Gray flipped to the University of Oregon in April. Much like Gray’s quick decision on a future move, Kaelin swiftly announced a commitment to the home-state University of Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Early recruiting results in the ’24 class look concerning at Mizzou, as the Tigers have only in-state products in tight end Whit Hafer and offensive tackle Ryan Jostes as players committed to MU. 247Sports ranks that #72 nationally and #14 (last) in the Southeastern Conference.
The move to Nebraska by Kaelin may have been spurred by last week’s decision of 2024 overall #1 recruit, quarterback Dylan Raiola, passing on Nebraska, where his father Dominic as a decorated offensive lineman, to commit to the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
