All NCMC fans are invited to a free watch party for the Lady Pirates opening round game of the 2022 NJCAA DII Women’s Basketball Championship on Tuesday, March 15th. The event will take place in the Ketcham Community Center gymnasium where the game will be broadcast on a large projector screen facing the north bleachers. Doors will open at 6:45pm. 8th seeded North Central Missouri College is set to tip off at 7:00pm against 9th seeded Niagara County Community College. Fans are encouraged to bring their own snacks and drinks to the event.
For those unable to attend the watch party, make sure to tune in to KGOZ radio (101.7) to cheer on your Lady Pirates. Recently inducted NCMC Athletics Hall of Fame inductee Tom Johnson will have the play by play action as NCMC begins their push for the school’s first national title. A Thursday game in the consolation bracket for NCMC would be carried on KTTN Radio (92.3). In the event of a Lady Pirate victory on Thursday, a national quarterfinal game, to be played on Thursday night at 5 o’clock, would go back to KGOZ Radio (101.7). Wednesday will be an off day for NCMC at the national tournament on the campus of St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron, Michigan.
