The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirate softball team spent its Tuesday afternoon underneath the sunshine in Kansas City, Kansas, playing the KCK Blue Devils in doubleheader action.
NCMC, behind a superb pitching effort from Allison Hilsabeck, won the opener 11-0. Hilsabeck scattered three Blue Devil hits in the shutout effort, while center fielder Jessica Stupar led the offense with a 3 for 4 effort, with two RBI’s.
The second game was not as smooth for North Central, as KCK routed the Lady Pirates, 11-1. Stupar took the pitching loss for NCMC, giving up five earned runs and walking eight Blue Devil batters. Brookfield native Jaclyn Weydert scored the only run of the contest for North Central.
The Lady Pirates travel to Marshall, Missouri for their next in-game action on Sunday, playing the junior varsity squad from Missouri Valley College.
