The North Central Missouri College basketball teams opened Region XVI play on Wednesday night, rolling to a pair of victories over the visiting Wentworth Military Academy Red Dragons. The Pirate men did have a 28 point second-half lead whittled down to 5 before holding on for the win. On Saturday, NCMC will host the Southeast Community College (NE) Storm at the Ketcham Community Center.

This week, the Pirate men host the Graceland JV on Tuesday night (7:30) while the Lady Pirates play on Cottey College (Wednesday / 6:00 PM on Hot Country Z 101.7). The Pirate teams host rival Penn Valley on Saturday afternoon (1:00/3:00) on Hot Country Z 101.7.
