The North Central Missouri College men, in a balanced attack led by 20 points from Major Finley, overwhelmed the visiting Graceland Yellowjacket junior varsity on Tuesday night, 97-71 at the Ketcham Community Center.
Jalen Gant and Teyontae Jenkins both had 13 points, while Demetrius Houston, Joshuah Goss, M.J. Johnson, and Dee Scruggs all added nine points for the Pirates, now 9-5 on the season.
The Lady Pirates had the night off, and return to Region 16 play tonight (Wednesday night), playing in Nevada, Missouri against the Cottey College Comets. Tip time is slated for 6 o’clock, with pregame at 5:50 on Hot Country Z 101.7.
Both Pirate teams will host the school’s biggest rival, the Penn Valley Scouts, on Saturday afternoon, with women’s tip at 1, followed by the men at 3 o’clock, also on Hot Country Z 101.7.
