The North Central Missouri College softball team had two wins and two losses in the NJCAA Division One tournament at the Ebbe Sports Complex in Trenton, falling 6-0 on Saturday afternoon in the loser’s bracket final to Jefferson College, ending the year at 27-31.
North Central opened the tournament on Thursday morning, defeating State Fair Community College 6-2. The Lady Pirates, on Thursday afternoon, rallied from an 7-1 deficit with six runs in the 6th inning and a single tally in the 7th, stunning the top-seeded Three Rivers CC Raiders 8-7.

As Region XVI champion, Crowder College advances into the Midwest District Championship best-of-three series, hosting Indian Hills (IA) Community College this coming weekend in Neosho. There will be two games on Saturday afternoon (1 and 3 o’clock), with, if necessary, a winner-take-all third game on Sunday. The district champion will advance to the NJCAA Division One national tournament in Oxford, Alabama, starting Tuesday, May 23rd.
