North Central Missouri College has announced that the men’s game scheduled for tonight (Thursday, February 15th) at the Ketcham Center against the Missouri Southern State University (Joplin, MO) has been cancelled. Head Coach Jeremy Esry explained to KTTNSports.com that the game was a late addition to the Pirates schedule, and Missouri Southern’s athletic department, after being reminded of the game earlier this week, had forgotten about the agreement and had made other plans. The game will not be rescheduled.
The next action for the Pirate basketball teams will be Saturday, February 17th, when the North Central teams host Southeast (NE) Community College at 2 and 4 o’clock on Hot Country Z 101.7.
On Saturday, February 24th, the Pirates will honor the sophomores on their women’s and men’s teams with the annual “Sophomore Recognition Day” games. Tipoff for the women will be 12 noon, with the men at 2 o’clock, against the North Arkansas Pioneers. Ceremonies will take place between the two games.
In addition to the “Sophomore Day” events, it will be NCMC Employee Appreciation Day, where the families of NCMC faculty and staff will get free admission, in addition to a ticket for a popcorn and drink.
