The Trenton volleyball team had what coach Pam Bowden called a “rough night”, falling in varsity action to the Lathrop Lady Mules 25-19, 25-11, 25-8 on Tuesday night.
Trenton had difficulty in filling the stat sheet due to the challenge in racking up points. Evy McCullough had two aces, two kills, and three blocks; Kenzie Yuilee four digs, and Jessa Shipley two digs.
The JV match went to Lathrop 10-25, 25-7, 26-24. Trenton had four kills from Nautica Dowling, four assists from Abby Simpson, and a pair of kills for Sarah Washburn.
In the C match, Lathrop swept Trenton 25-22, 25-15. Mackenzie Lewis had two aces for Trenton.
The Trenton JV and varsity will play at South Harrison on Thursday night, with action starting at 5 o’clock.
The results for Chillicothe were better from Tuesday, with the Lady Hornet varsity evening their record at 5-5 with a 25-16, 25-20, 25-21 over St. Joseph Lafayette.
