The Chillicothe Mudcats opened a stretch of seven home games over nine nights with a 15-7 win over the Cassville Arrows in Monday night baseball action at Shaffer Park in Chillicothe.
After Cassville opened the scoring with two runs in the visiting 1st, the Fish poured runs onto the scoreboard, with five in the 1st, three in the 2nd, and four runs in the 4th inning.
Designated hitter Bryce Bisenius was 2-for-5 with three RBI’s and three runs scored for Chillicothe, while catcher Cris Cabral had two runs, two hits, and two RBI’s, and third baseman Kenny Jarema contributed a base hit and two RBI’s.
The win improves the Mudcats to 2-1 overall, and 1-1 in MINK League play. Chillicothe will host the Clarinda A’s tonight (Tuesday night) at 7:05, before playing the Kansas City Monarchs on the road at 7 o’clock on Wednesday night.
