Major League Baseball (MLB) has released the schedule for the 2024 season, which will feature the Chicago Cubs facing the Texas Rangers in the only interleague matchup on opening day, March 28.
On March 20-21, the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres will play the first regular-season games in South Korea at Seoul.
Other opening day matchups include the Los Angeles Angels at Baltimore, Detroit at the Chicago White Sox, the New York Yankees at Houston, Minnesota at Kansas City, Cleveland at Oakland, Boston at Seattle, and Toronto at Tampa Bay.
The Oakland Athletics could be playing their last opener in Oakland, as their lease at the Coliseum expires at the end of the 2024 season, and the team hopes to move to a new ballpark in Las Vegas.
National League games on opening day include Colorado at Arizona, Washington at Cincinnati, St. Louis at the Dodgers, Pittsburgh at Miami, Milwaukee at the New York Mets, Atlanta at Philadelphia, and San Francisco at San Diego.
Houston and Colorado will play in Mexico City on April 27-28, while the Mets and Phillies will face off in London on June 8-9.
The All-Star Game is scheduled for July 16 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, and the regular season is set to conclude on September 29.
Interleague matchups throughout the season include the Yankees and Mets, Cubs and White Sox, Dodgers and Angels, and Giants and Athletics.
Notable series include Houston’s visit to Wrigley Field for the first time since 2013, the Dodgers playing at Yankee Stadium for the first time since 2016, and San Diego’s trip to Fenway Park for the first time since 2013.
