The Missouri Tigers football team has been successful in securing commitments from several recruits for their 2024 class. One notable commitment is Rivals four-star linebacker Nicholas Rodriguez, who announced his commitment to the Tigers on Twitter. Rodriguez, hailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is the highest-ranked and first four-star recruit to join coach Eli Drinkwitz’s 2024 class. He is the second player from St. Thomas Aquinas High School to commit to Missouri, following three-star defensive lineman Justin Bodford.
During his junior season, Rodriguez played a key role in the Raiders’ defense, helping them maintain a perfect 14-0 record and win the Florida 3M state title. He recorded impressive statistics, including 93 total tackles, nine QB hits, five sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and an interception.
Rodriguez chose Missouri over offers from Ohio State, Louisville, West Virginia, and other SEC programs. His commitment adds to the Tigers’ recruiting class, which has received a boost with multiple commitments following the Gold Rush recruitment weekend.
In addition to Rodriguez, Missouri has three other key targets planning to announce their college decisions on the Fourth of July. Four-star wide receiver James Madison II, who is Rodriguez’s high school teammate, is set to announce his commitment, with Michigan, Oregon, Florida State, and Louisville among his top schools. Four-star cornerback Cameron Keys is also expected to commit on Independence Day, with Kentucky and Vanderbilt as the other programs in the running. Three-star linebacker Jonathan Agumadu, from McKinney, Texas, will also announce his decision, with Oklahoma State predicted as the likely choice.
Missouri has been successful in securing commitments recently, with Justin Bodford being the latest addition. Bodford, a three-star recruit from St. Thomas Aquinas, is the Tigers’ fourth commitment in just three days. The defensive lineman joins other commitments, including Cam Dooley and Jackson Hancock, on the defensive side.
Overall, Missouri’s recruiting efforts have gained momentum, with an increase in commitments and the addition of highly regarded recruits for their 2024 class.
