Mizzou defensive lineman Darius Robinson is set to attend the first round of the NFL draft in Detroit on April 25, joining a group of 13 prospects confirmed by the NFL as of Thursday night. Among SEC schools, Alabama and LSU lead with three players each in attendance, while Robinson represents Missouri as the sole confirmed player from the university on Day 1 of the draft. The SEC tops all conferences with seven players attending.
Robinson, a First-Team All-SEC selection, played a pivotal role in anchoring Mizzou’s defense, which ranked fourth in the conference in rush defense and total defense. Despite battling injuries during the 2023 season, Robinson posted impressive stats, recording 43 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 14 tackles for losses, all of which were team-highs among MU defensive linemen.
Alabama’s representatives include linebacker Dallas Turner, offensive lineman JC Latham, and cornerback Terrion Arnold. LSU’s contingent features quarterback Jayden Daniels, wide receivers Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr.
USC quarterback Caleb Williams, a highly touted prospect projected to be the No. 1 overall selection, will also be present for the first round, with the Bears holding the top pick.
Among other attendees, Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze and UCLA defensive lineman Laiatu Latu represent the Pac-12, while North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye is the ACC’s lone attendee. Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State will be the Big Ten’s only representative, and Quinyon Mitchell from Toledo rounds out the group, representing the Mid-American Conference.
The NFL draft kicks off on April 25 with the first round, followed by the second and third rounds on April 26. The draft concludes on April 27 with rounds four through seven.
